Closing the Gap Day is a free, family-friendly event that brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members of all ages with organisations and governments delivering vital services across South Australia.
Hosted by Nunkuwarrin Yunti, the 2026 Closing the Gap Day reflects the goals of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, which seeks to raise awareness of the ongoing inequalities faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The day is also an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to come together, connect, and celebrate with Welcome to Country ceremonies, live performances, activities, art, and much more
Sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 event are open until 20 February, with limited opportunities still available. We encourage interested organisations to connect with us as soon as possible. If you would prefer to explore future opportunities, we would also be pleased to connect, as planning is underway for Closing the Gap Day 2027 sponsorships.
