Free public transport for all who have registered for Closing the Gap Day 2023

Simply present your digital ticket (or a printed version) to the driver or ticket inspector at any time on Thursday 16 March and ride to and from the event for free.

Please register to ensure you have a ticket!

Schools and/or large groups travelling on the bus, train and tram services:

Please notify the SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport’s Group Booking team via email DIT.SAPTAGroupBookings@sa.gov.au

This will help to make sure there are enough services running on the day.

Free Bus

Bus stops 1 or 2 on Goodwood Road are most convenient to arrive at the Adelaide Showground.

From the city, it is approximately a 15 minute bus ride.

Free Train

Adelaide Showground Station is located in a convenient location on the south-eastern corner of Anzac Highway and Greenhill Road, a short walk away from Adelaide Showground.

Free Tram

The tram departs from outside Adelaide Railway Station and in Victoria Square every 20 minutes, with the journey taking five minutes to reach Goodwood Road Station, Stop 3.

It is then a five-minute walk from the tram stop to the Adelaide Showground.

Parking

The Adelaide Showground is accessible by Goodwood Road, Greenhill Road and Anzac Highway.

Taxi

The Adelaide Showground is a five-minute taxi ride from the Adelaide CBD and a 15-minute journey from Adelaide Airport.

Taxis can be called for pickup from the Goyder Forecourt on Goodwood Road, or the Rose Terrace entrance.
